#GivingTuesday is December 1!

This coming Tuesday, December 1, is Giving Tuesday, a global initiative that began nine years ago to inspire people to give back to their communities. Communication Is Key, AAC is committed to supporting kids and families with complex communication needs by providing training, resources, support, and connections.

When our executive director, Julia Dapkus, started CiK, she had a vision of building a network of parents who could come together to brainstorm, share successes, and provide ideas and support. Thanks to all of you, that community has become a reality and with your generosity, we've been able to do so much more.

During this pandemic, families have needed support more now than ever. Virtual schooling and therapies, lack of childcare, and stresses on finances have left many families with complex communicators in so much need. School and therapy staff also need more tools in their toolbelts to handle the constant changes and challenges that this environment brings.

This Tuesday, when you give to us, we can give back to the community. Your donation of $5, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you are able to give will help sponsor a family with special needs this holiday season, a playground communication board to help kids access their language while at play, admission to a conference for educators and professionals to learn critical information to help their students and patients, literacy texts for professionals to assist their complex patients and so much more.
